Finding, coaching and training public media's next generation.

The Next Generation Radio Project is a 5-day digital journalism and audio training project. Our distance learning program is designed to give competitively selected participants the opportunity to learn how to report, remotely, and produce their own non-narrated, multimedia story. Those chosen for the project are paired with a professional journalist who serves as their mentor for the week.

“I just really wish I could do it again. There isn’t any other program that allows you to work one-on-one with a mentor like that. There should be a NextGen Alumni program so we get the experience it one more time.”
